Newm's Art Stop was created to connect with my community in New Orleans. I've since dedicated my Instagram account to it. I make line & wash illustrations to share my favorite places, things, and thoughts about the city. The support that I get here allows me to continue doing other things I love like parenting from home with my daughter Opal, fine art, and public artworks.
I chose the name to "illustrate" making art as a product in order to subsidize my fine art practice. I like to imagine the Art Stop as service based entity in which I implement my years of experience working in hospitality. Such facets include delivery, packaging, and promotional items. All as if such art products are as any items you may find at a roadside convenience store. See how funny I am?
